NeuroKinetic Therapy is a unique treatment protocol designed to unravel the causes of painful, dysfunctional movement patterns and correct them by "reprogramming" the Motor Control Center in the cerebellum.

Over decades of practice, we have found that simply treating a painful, weak, or dysfunctional body part or physical structure without fully understanding the root of the problem leaves patients with problems that never go away.

For every area of pain or painful movement pattern there is always an over working (facilitated) structure and an under working (inhibited) structure. NKT uses a system of precise muscle tests to determine which anatomical structures are involved and how they are compensating for one another.

Once this very careful diagnostic work is completed, individualized treatment plans are devised. These tailored treatments are done by your Physical Therapist during in-office sessions and "home work" is assigned to allow you to continue progressing on your own between sessions.

This process corrects the underlying problems permanently and results in lasting pain relief and restored healthy function, strength and movement.

Other interventions including massage, joint manipulation, injections, nerve blocks, stretching, strengthening, taping, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation can provide temporary relief but do not address the cause of the problem, allowing pain to return.

NKT is the best intervention we know of to provide permanent relief. That is why, after studying other therapeutic disciplines and interventions for decades, we have focused years of time and energy learning, practicing, and now also teaching NKT.

Most Physical Therapists use weak Class 3 lasers that have limited value. The maximum amount of energy a Class 3 laser can deliver is 0.5 watts.

In contrast, BPT NV's Class 4 laser can deliver as much as 100 watts of energy. It's laser light is tuned to penetrate skin, muscle, and other tissue and can reach as much as 12 inches into the body. This allows the laser light to treat structures (like hip joints) other therapies cannot effect.

Class 4 laser light energizes ATP (the energy source for all human cells) and speeds healing, reduces inflammation, and supercharges cellular regeneration.

BPT NV's new Diowave Class 4 laser is state of the art with the latest and greatest European laser engine and an Artificial Intelligence interface that leverages clinical experience with thousands of patients to specifically tailor and modify treatment parameters (wattage, wavelength, pulse frequency, and duration) for each patient at each successive session.

The Diowave laser is called a "Stealth Laser" because it is tuned to a wavelength that reacts very little to water and hemoglobin and can therefore deliver tremendous amounts of light energy to specific anatomical structures without pain or noticeable heat. (Earlier 940 nanometer Class 4 lasers significantly heated the treated tissue and could even cause burns at 20 watts of energy and above if the operator was well trained and careful.) The Diowave laser is also stealthy in the sense that post-treatment results are normally most apparent 24 to 48 hours after each treatment.

Please wear workout clothes or other loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to remove or open to allow access to the body part being treated. (For example, knee patients should ideally wear shorts and women with shoulder issues should wear sports bras if possible.)

If you cancel your prepaid appointment more than 24 hours in advance you can apply your payment to a rescheduled visit or request a full refund.

No shows and cancellations less than 24 hours before your appointment will be charged in full since we rarely can rebook the time we have reserved for you.
